Greetings

Welcome to the In Balance Physiotherapy newsletter.

 May Is National Physiotherapy Month

May is National Physiotherapy Month in Canada. It’s a time to celebrate the profession and the benefits it brings to millions of people. Physiotherapy is a conservative treatment option that helps people recover from injuries, illnesses, and chronic health conditions.

Physiotherapists are experts in body movement and function and use evidence-based techniques to assess, treat, and prevent injury. Additionally, physiotherapists advocate for support and access for the nearly 8 million Canadians living with pain-related disability.

This year, National Physiotherapy Month will focus on how physiotherapists can help people suffering from chronic pain to live a more pain-free life and reduce the need for prescription medications, including opioids.

How Physiotherapy Helps on the Golf Course

Golf is a common sport played around the world. While there are numerous mental and physical health benefits, injuries can happen from using inappropriate equipment, including golf clubs. Your physiotherapist can help you choose appropriate golf clubs to keep you in top form on the golf course and prevent injury.
